I just got around to updating this page again September 30, 1997. Didn't do much, just added another link at the bottom of the list.

This is just a quickie, since I realized I can't really claim anymore I don't know how to add links and such.. I've just been too busy/lazy/whatever to get around to it.

So, here are a few links to get you started in bicycle stuff:

The Bicycle Trader

This is a neat place. If you want to learn about some of the more interesting stuff that people have to buy and sell, and also some good history about the world of bicycles, it's a great jumping-off point. Their links tend to get an enthusiast like me wrapped up to the point of forgetting about time, though, so be careful. You may not notice your mortgage has been foreclosed by the time you finally get through all of them!

Sheldon Brown's Bicycle Glossary

If you want to know what just about any word in Bicycle-talk means, this is the place to find it! Never again let anyone mess with your head just because they know something about a bicycle and you don't! Mr. Brown has done a fantastic job!

Schwinn's Homepage

The new Schwinn Bicycle Company is quite a far cry from the old one. They've put together a really neat page, with all sorts of links to other sites, and a really huge forum for people to buy, sell, and learn about bicycles.

Behemoth

This is a really neat place. It tells all about the monster, multi-million dollar recumbent that was used as a traveling office and environment by a really interesting guy. His whole idea revolves around being self-sufficient on the road, and his philosophy that in this information age, a fixed office and a necktie aren't really necessary. He tells of what was involved in building it, and also of his travels with it. Then he branches out to tell about his change to human-powered self-contained watercraft.

Bicyclopedia

Between this site and Sheldon Brown's you can learn almost anything there is to know about bikes and bicycling! Another fantastic site!
