The Bah' Faith

The defining thread that runs through my life, personal and professional, is the Bah' Faith. It is the second most widespread of the world's independent religions, established in 235 countries and territories throughout the world. Bah's come from over 2,100 ethnic, racial, and tribal groups and number some five million worldwide.

For more than a century, Bah' communities around the globe have been working to break down barriers of prejudice between peoples and have collaborated with other like-minded groups to promote the model of a global society. At the heart of our belief is the conviction that humanity is a single people with a common destiny. In the words of Bah'u'llh, the Founder of our Faith, "The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens."

Bah'u'llh taught that there is one God Who progressively reveals His will to humanity. Each of the great religions brought by the Messengers of God -- Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, Muhammad, Zoroaster -- represents a successive stage in the spiritual development of civilization. Bah'u'llh, the most recent Messenger in this line, has brought teachings that address the moral and spiritual challenges of the modern world.

There are many ways to learn more about this latest chapter in the story of world religion. On the World Wide Web, one of my favorite Bah' pages is Glen Little's. It gives you easy access to many sites of interest to Bah's and those who wish more information about the Bah' Faith. If you fall into the latter category, a good place to start is by visiting the Bah' World site. The brief introduction above is excerpted from that on-line book.
